Working under the guidance of the APART project leadership to implement project activities in the target locations, including;
Coordinating all project field activities in the districts Sonitpur, Lakhimpur and Biswanath.
Provide technical assistance and supervisory support to farming communities engaged in implementing project activities;
Conduct field trials and demonstrations in the assigned district area(s)
Collect data, conduct analyses and maintain records of all project activities;
Organize and coordinate trainings for farming communities and local partner agencies;
Assist in preparing periodic progress reports, technical papers and presentations for meetings and annual reports as needed for donors, project beneficiaries, and partners;
Good working knowledge of agriculture especially local vegetable cultivation;
Strong written and verbal communication skills in Assamese and English;
Skilled use of various software (MS Word, MS Excel, ) and exposure to handling variety evaluation trials;
Energetic and enthusiastic personality with an urge to improve agricultural systems.
Strong team player and willing to work as part of an extended team comprising several agencies.
Qualifications and experience: Diploma/Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Botany and at least 2 years working experience in projects related to vegetables.
General : This is a Consolidated position for one year, renewable further depending on performance and the projects continuing need for the position.
