Job Description

Role Overview:

To assist in smooth functioning of Internal Audit Unit by providing administrative and to provide professional support under the overall direction of Manager and Head, Internal Audit.

Responsibilities:

Assist in providing administrative support in execution of risk-based audits as per the approved Audit Plan.
Documenting audit processes and maintaining effective work papers, audit files and audit communication etc.
Maintenance of the audit software adopted by the Internal Audit function including tracking of the changes/new features in the software and updating the audit team on the same.
Ensuring confidentiality of internal audit documentation and information.
Extracting & analyzing financial data from Institutes information systems as relevant to the audit.
Monitoring and follow-up of implementation of audit recommendations.
Assist in preparing Audit Committee reports, agenda papers and maintenance of the meeting records
Perform administrative functions relating to the general operations of the Units activities
Fostering proactive and professional relationships with the executive and line management.
Any other official responsibilities as assigned by the Manager/Head of Internal Audit.

Competencies:
Superior skills in written and verbal communication in English. Proficiency in the local languages would be an advantage.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Power point and Excel. Familiarity with audit software like Teammate, MK Insight etc. would be an added advantage.
Basic Knowledge of accounting and auditing standards or have working knowledge of administration in audit set ups.
Good inter-personal skills, analytical skills and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency and diligence in documentation is essential.

Qualification:
Graduate in Accounting/Finance with hands on administrative/ audit/Finance experience and good computer and communication skills.
Minimum working experience of 4-5 years.
General:

This is a Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) position for three years, renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the Institute's continuing need for the position. The last date of application is 7 March 2019.
