Job Description

ICRISAT invites applications from Indian Nationals for Project Officer. The position is based at ICRISAT- Patancheru Hyderabad.

ICRISAT is a non-profit, non-political organization that conducts agricultural research for development in Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa with a wide array of partners throughout the world. ICRISAT and its partners help empower those living in the semi-arid tropics, especially smallholder farmers, to overcome poverty, hunger, malnutrition and a degraded environment through more efficient and profitable agriculture.

Responsibilities:
Develop mechanisms for working with different institutes and organizations in India to enhance the outcomes of the project
Scout for Project proposals, prepare and develop reports for the donor agencies
Liaise with the donor agencies, public and private organizations that are working in the agricultural sector across India for project execution and data collection
Design strategies for data collection, which would include designing appropriate questionnaires for the target groups, and simultaneously build databases of IPRs and Agricultural technologies etc.
Collect and validate the data collected through the primary sources by using survey tools and web tools along with personal interaction/interviews with the stakeholders, and meetings with research institutions across India
Collect and validate the data collected through the secondary sources such as web portals, online databases, published papers and other relevant literatures
Analyze the collected data and prepare reports and other relevant documentation required for project execution
Maintain the records of the analysis outcome and manage the databases of the same
Organize and conduct surveys, studies, programs, trainings, conference, seminars and similar activities as a part of the implementation of the project
Develop good rapport with the stakeholders of the project and ensure sustainable collaborative opportunities to establish a continuous communication channel for future activities
Any other assignment as requested by the management/supervisor

Essential criteria:
Candidate with Post-Graduation degree or an equivalent Professional course/ Qualification in management, business.
Candidate with background in science/technology/agriculture at graduation level is preferred.
Good communication skills in English and Hindi language is a must. (Knowledge of Regional language may be an added advantage).
Candidate must have computer knowledge and be familiar with MS office tools and online surveying tools etc.
1-2 years of experience in relevant field is desirable.
Knowledge of IPRs, Patent, IP search and analysis, technology/management transfer is desirable.
Experience in conducting surveys/studies is desirable.
Knowledge of statistical tools and analytics is desirable.

General:

This is a consolidated position for three years renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the institutes continuing need for the position.
