To perform operational duties in receipt, storage and issuance of assets and materials while maintaining hygiene and safety in the storage areas.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment
Should read and interpret parts catalogs and related information
To load and unload material from common carriers
Assist in the unpacking and checking of incoming material against invoices or bills of lading to verify items and quantities received
Transport material to specified areas either by hand or by use of materials-handling equipment
Physical counting of stocks after issue to check for their correctness
Follow the instructions and safety rules at work
Taking photocopies, making files etc.
Any additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor
Candidate should be physically fit and be able to read, write, perform simple mathematical calculations, follow oral and written instructions, perform heavy manual tasks.
Minimum one year of experience is required in managing stores.
This is a Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) cadre position, initially for a period of three years, renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the institutes continuing need for the position.
